Helen Skelton shares ‘reality’ of single mum life with her three kids

Helen Skelton has shared the reality of looking after her three children following her shock marriage breakdown.

The Countryfile presenter split from her estranged ex-husband Richie Myler last year. The former couple share three kids together - Ernie, seven, Louis, five, and seven-month-old Elsie Kate.

Helen has continued to adapt to her new life as a single mother and has shared a heartwarming glimpse of her wholesome Mother's Day weekend spent with the little ones.

In one snap Helen can be seen carrying her son Ernie and the pair had huge smiles on their faces. The TV star then took the opportunity to share the “reality” of life as a single mum.

In her next post she shared another pic of her son, who can be seen sitting on the floor with his head between his legs.

She captioned the post: “Reality…When you’re 'ruining their life' because of the way you tie a trainer lace. All part of the adventure we get to call parenting.”

It comes as Helen has reportedly been asked to appear on Celebs Go Dating. It’s said bosses at the Channel 4 dating show are keen to get her involved.

The show sees celebrities try to find love with the help of experts Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson, following her split from rugby player husband Richie Myler.

However, according to sources, the TV star will likely ‘snub’ the offer. A source told The Sun: "Helen has already proved she is great on TV and is really interesting to watch.

"The public really felt for her after her split and bosses think everyone would love to see her dating journey.”

The insider added: “They are willing to offer her big bucks to take part, but it looks like Helen really isn’t interested in sharing that part of her life. It would take a lot to change her mind.”
