The Queen of Halloween has done it again. Heidi Klum unveiled her highly anticipated 2025 costume at her 24th annual Halloween bash in New York City, transforming into a spine-chilling Medusa that left fans both mesmerized and terrified.

The supermodel donned green scales and squirming snakes to embody the Greek mythological figure, proving once again why her annual costume reveal is one of the most anticipated moments of spooky season. The 52-year-old was virtually unrecognizable with a prosthetic forked tongue, fake snakes moving on her head, face and body covered with scales, and bright green contact lenses.

"HAPPY HEIDIWEEN 🐍Don't stare too long or you'll turn to stone 🖤," Klum captioned her Instagram reveal, perfectly embodying the legendary Gorgon whose gaze could turn mortals to stone.

The Costume That Took Halloween By Storm

Held at the Hard Rock Hotel New York on October 31, Klum's 24th annual Halloween celebration once again set the standard for celebrity costume events. The supermodel had teased fans throughout the day on Instagram, first sharing a close-up of her terrifying fangs before gradually revealing images of pea-green makeup and latex-like material being applied to her face.

Klum told People magazine earlier in the week that she would be "very ugly" this year, explaining that she always tries to do something different. The comment was certainly accurate—the Medusa costume represents one of her most elaborate and skin-crawling transformations to date.

Her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, complemented the theme perfectly. Kaulitz appeared as a soldier turned to stone, playing into the Medusa mythology. The coordinated couple's costume showcased their commitment to the theatrical nature of Klum's legendary Halloween celebrations.

A Legacy of Legendary Costumes

Through the years, Klum has dressed up in a wide array of incredible costumes, including Jessica Rabbit from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" in 2016, the werewolf from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video in 2017, and Fiona from "Shrek" in 2018.

Last year, Klum and Kaulitz channeled E.T. from the 1982 movie "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial," with Klum later sharing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she "loved being E.T. so much". The year before, the couple created a massive peacock costume that required 15 additional people to help navigate.

Klum explained to People that she felt the need to create the more "complicated" peacock costume because her creepy worm costume in 2022 "felt so simple". This dedication to constantly outdoing herself has cemented her status as the undisputed Queen of Halloween.

The Star-Studded Guest List

For 2025, Klum welcomed stars like Darren Criss, Tamron Hall, and James Charles to the highly coveted annual event, with guests going above and beyond with their spooky, sexy, and scary looks. The supermodel's annual bash has become the place to be for celebrities on Halloween, with invitees knowing they need to bring their A-game when it comes to costume creativity.

Klum has said that her party has become "almost legendary" and "epic," noting that "over the years, people have become increasingly more outrageous with their costumes". She added that she feels her love for Halloween has made other people fall in love with the holiday too.

Why Heidi Klum Reigns Supreme

What sets Klum apart from other celebrity Halloween enthusiasts is her absolute commitment to transformation. She doesn't simply wear a costume—she becomes an entirely different creature, often spending hours in makeup and prosthetics to achieve looks that are genuinely unrecognizable.

Her annual party, now in its 24th year, has evolved from an exclusive celebrity gathering into a cultural phenomenon that sets trends and inspires Halloween enthusiasts worldwide. The supermodel treats each costume as a creative challenge, constantly pushing boundaries and exploring new levels of theatrical artistry.

From exposed cadavers to alien science experiments, from legendary peacocks to extraterrestrial beings, and now to the snake-haired Gorgon herself, Klum's costume evolution tells the story of someone who genuinely loves the transformative magic of Halloween. The Medusa costume of 2025 proves that even after more than two decades of hosting the most anticipated Halloween party in entertainment, the Queen of Halloween shows no signs of slowing down—or running out of terrifyingly creative ideas.
