Despite being designated for return and practicing all week, the Cleveland Browns are not expected to activate cornerback Greedy Williams off of Injured Reserve just yet. According to The OBR’s Brad Stainbrook, Williams is not expected to play as the Browns get set for battle against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Browns technically have 21 days after designating Williams for return to bring him back to the roster. With M.J. Emerson playing at a decent level, there is no need to throw Williams back out onto the field before he is 100 percent healthy and ready to return. Perhaps we see Williams make his return next week against the New England Patriots.
