Glasgow Greggs stores to open late as bakery announce new dinner menu

Popular high street bakery, Greggs has announced a major change to their Glasgow stores.

Greggs has made a name for itself by offering affordable breakfast rolls, cakes, pizza slices and the humble sausage roll. It's quick and easy to pick up a piece for breakfast or lunch, and now the bakery chain has confirmed they will start serving dinner too.

Taking to social media, Greggs announced that their new evening items will be available at selected 'late night' stores, including some in Glasgow. These new snacks will be available from 4pm.

They've said there will be new full-size pizza, sides and hot desserts, with a twist on the iconic Yum Yum. The new pizzas will be customisable to give it a "a personal touch".

Writing on Twitter, Greggs said: "Yep, you heard us right, now loads of Greggs shops are open even later. And what’s more, there’s new pizzas and hot desserts, as well as your usual favourites."

Customers can choose from three tasty toppings, including Chargrill Chicken, Mexican Chicken, Pepperoni, Red Onion, Jalapenos and Mixed Peppers, on top of a focaccia base.

With that, there will also be a meal deal to go along with the new pizza. Greggs fans can choose from their tasty meal deal bundles or a range of sides including Southern Fried Potato Wedges, Spicy BBQ Chicken Bites, Southern Fried Chicken Goujons or Vegan Southern Fried Chicken-Free Goujons to take dinnertime up a notch.

Pizza meal deal bundle includes a boxed pizza, sharing wedges and a hot sweet.

Glasgow Greggs stores open late

The Killermont Street venue will be open until 10pm and the Gordon Street branch will close at 8pm.

Greggs stores on George Street, Argyle Street and the Forge all close at 8.30pm, leaving enough time for hungry customers to grab a pizza meal deal.
