The Oasis Live ‘25 Tour has been doing the rounds, completing the majority of its UK stadium dates before storming the US and Mexico. Now, the juggernaut is back to take Wembley Stadium on September 27 and 28. It’s a moment die-hard fans have waited some 15 years for.
Britpop was as much about street style as it was the tunes, and the Gallaghers were the Pied Pipers.
Even today, some 30 years after their heyday, it’s hard to picture Liam snarling into a mic without a parka draped around his shoulders, or from under the brim of a bucket hat, another retro accessory resurrected from the archives of fashion (some might say ill-advisably).
So, how to nail the Oasis look? Let’s start from the feet up with adidas, preferably Gazelles or Superstars as favoured by LG. Next, a pair of Levi’s, nice and baggy to tick the 90s grunge box. Too hot? A denim skirt or shorts will have the same effect, whether you pick dark or stonewash.
Follow with either a polo, a football shirt (any team, so long as it’s Man City) or keep it simple with an official band tee. A sling bag, crossbody or bumbag will keep hands free for sipping pints and cheering when those big anthems drop.
With most of the UK tour dates falling in high summer, hopes are high for sunshine, so you may not need a jacket at all.
Still, for those who wish to be on the safe side while avoiding parka-induced heat combustion, stick to casual contenders like Stone Island and Napapijri for 90s grit, a Harrington for something a bit slicker, or emulate Noel’s casual mod style with a leather blazer.
