President Donald Trump criticized Fox News anchor Shannon Bream in a Truth Social post on Sunday evening, marking his second post targeting her that day. He accused her show of using old photos of the White House ballroom construction site, reports Mediaite.
Trump said the photos shown on Bream’s program were taken months ago, before much of the construction had started. He claimed the most difficult work is now mostly finished, with roof and “DronePort” construction set to begin soon.
Trump also criticized Bream’s show, Fox News Sunday, calling it biased. He brought up former Fox anchor Chris Wallace while making his point.
Trump questions why older photos were used instead of recent ones
In his post, Trump asked why Bream did not show updated pictures of the ballroom site instead of what he called old and irrelevant ones. He then wrote, “Her show, Fox News Sunday, is so biased against MAGA, ‘TRUMP,’ and Republicans, that it is ridiculous!”
Trump referred to Bream as “Milktoast” (possibly he meant the word “milquetoast”) in the post, which he said is a nickname he said her friends use for her. He also mentioned Chris Wallace, saying Wallace’s show was better than Bream’s despite calling Wallace “really bad” as well. Trump asked, “WHERE IS CHRIS WALLACE?”
The post also criticized Bream and Fox anchor Bret Baier for showing poll numbers Trump described as fake. Trump wrote that they were “just embarrassing themselves” by doing so. He then referenced his 2024 election win, saying he won all seven swing states, the popular vote, 86 percent of counties, and the Electoral College by a count of 312 to 226.
This was not Trump’s only post about Bream that day. Earlier on Sunday, he wrote another lengthy post on Truth Social calling her show “beyond redemption.” Trump has also lashed out at the group which halted the project, accusing them of compromising national security.
The criticism followed an interview Bream conducted with Attorney General Todd Blanche on her show. During the interview, Bream asked why the Trump administration has not sought approval from Congress for the ballroom project at the White House. Blanche responded, “We don’t believe we have to go to Congress.”
The ballroom project has faced legal challenges. A federal appeals court ordered the administration to halt construction, and Trump has since appealed the ruling to the Supreme Court. The debate over the ballroom photos is part of a broader pattern of claims about Trump’s divine purpose.
As for Chris Wallace, the anchor Trump mentioned in his post, he has taken on a new role outside of television news. According to The New York Times, Wallace recently joined RedBird Capital Partners as a senior adviser for news and media investments. RedBird is a major investor in Skydance, the company that bought Paramount, the parent company of CBS.
Wallace’s position at RedBird is focused on business matters. He reports to Gerry Cardinale, the founder of the firm. In an interview with The New York Times, Wallace said any direct involvement with CBS News is still undecided, calling it “T.B.D.” He said he could end up advising on other RedBird media holdings, such as The Daily Telegraph in London or the sports website Front Office Sports, just as easily as he could work on a CBS program like 60 Minutes.
