After playing her final show for her GUTS era on Thursday, fans are convinced Olivia Rodrigo’s next move will be her highly anticipated third album — and many think they’ve already cracked its name.
And I am screaming with excitement!!

Hawk-eyed fans found their first hint of OR3 at Rodrigo’s last festival performance of the GUTS Tour at Osheaga Festival in Montreal, Canada, on August 3 2025.
Rodrigo wore a red shirt featuring a big number 3 in rhinestones on its front and took off her iconic silver GUTS ring, giving it to a fan.
After the show, she posted a video to her Instagram with the caption “[R]ings off!!!!! that’s a wrap on Guts tour!!! until next time I love y’all 💋🎸🎂”
Another hint came on August 11, when Rodrigo’s fan newsletter said, “The end of the GUTS era feels bittersweet, but I’m sooooo excited for all that’s y3t to come!!!!”
This was the first time Rodrigo said it was the end of the GUTS era, not just the tour.
And then came her performance this week, where Rodrigo said, “This is definitely going to be the last GUTS show,” and that she “can’t wait to get back on the road one of these days”.
What will be the vibe of Olivia Rodrigo’s new album?
In an interview with Vogue in November 2024, Rodrigo said that working on her new album “feels so different”.
“I guess I’m a little older now and I feel like I have more experience,” the popstar said.
“I think the tour and all the festivals were really educational for me and taught me a lot about who I am and what kind of music I want to make and what music I want to play for people. I’m taking all those lessons into the studio with me.”
OR3 looks like it’ll show a fresh, mature side of Rodrigo, maybe even exploring her experience with the rise to fame.
‘Is Olivia Rodrigo ditching the purple for OR3?’
Rodrigo told WIRED purple was her favourite colour in 2023 and also the defining colour of her SOUR and GUTS era.
However, in May 2025, Rodrigo told Vogue that red is her “new fave colour.”
Rodrigo has also been spotted [out and about] wearing lots of red [this year], and in August 2025, the logo on her website changed from purple to red.
What will OR3 be called?
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar in October 2025, Rodrigo said she has not landed on a name.
“I have one that I’m feeling good about, and I think that’ll be the title, but I am not 100 per cent positive yet. I’m not writing it in stone quite yet.” the singer-songwriter said.
“It has to feel right in your body. I have to sleep on it a few nights before I really decide that that’s the one.”
Right now, fans think the album will be named “Luck”, given that Rodrigo has previously dropped hints about her album titles, featured symbols of luck like ladybugs and polka dots on her Instagram, and referred to herself as the “luckiest girl in the world” in May 2025 in a post for her birthday.
What’s more, at her performance this week, Rodrigo’s dress appeared to be made of green clovers, another lucky symbol.
One fan on TikTok said the green dress “totally confirmed her next album is going to be called Luck.”
“I just know that LUCK will be the name of Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming album” a fan tweeted on X.
Other guesses include Kiss, Lady, Dusk, Star, Dare.
One X user said “red energy, heartbreak vibes, and a title that screams kiss then cry”
When is OR3 coming out?
Rodrigo’s third album could be coming as soon as next month, according to some fans who say Rodrigo the singer might be performing new material at her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction on November 8, 2025.
Fans are also pointing to Rodrigo’s last album, GUTS, which was released in September 2023, a little over two years after her debut, SOUR, which some say suggests we’re due for a new album now.
We also know that to be eligible for the 2027 Grammys, Rodrigo will need to release her next album by 30 August 2026, so she best be dropping her tracks soon!
