A former employee of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has taken the stand in his ongoing sex trafficking trial in New York City, accusing him of sexual assault and violence over a “toxic” eight years in his staff. At one point, she described having to work five days straight without any sleep, having a computer thrown at her head, and also detailed a shocking instance of waking up to Combs on top of her before he allegedly raped her.
Testifying under the pseudonym “Mia” after being granted anonymity by the court, the former staffer was revealed to the jury as an image of her passport was shown under seal, but her identity — including her face in any court sketches — have been withheld from the public for her privacy.
Taking the stand on Thursday, Mia said she first started as a personal assistant for Combs in 2009, and rose to an executive role before quitting in 2017. When Combs first interviewed her, she claimed it was at his home, and he was only wearing underwear.

Mia alleged Combs sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions during her nearly decade-long tenure in his staff. In the first instance, at his 40th birthday celebrations, she said he poured her three vodka shots before coming onto her and putting his hand up her dress.
In another instance in 2010 or 2011, she testified she woke up in a bunk bed with Combs on top of her, when he told her to be quiet as he unzipped his pants and “put himself inside of [her]”.
“I just froze. I didn’t react,” she said on the stand, per Variety.
“It was very quick, but it felt like forever. He said he wouldn’t leave a job unfinished.”
She called another incident in which he allegedly “grabbed” her head and forced his penis in his mouth, adding there were many assaults she had tried to block out of her memory that left a “horrible, dark feeling in her stomach”.
“I thought I could just die with it and not tell anyone, since it’s such a shameful part of my life. … It’s the worst and most shameful thing that’s ever happened to me,” she said.
The former employee testified to a “toxic” and “chaotic” work environment, with an initial salary of just $50,000. She also claimed she used Adderall to stay awake and once had to work five days straight without any sleep, as reported by news.com.au.
Eventually, this led to a physical breakdown, which was when Combs said she could now go to sleep.
“My hearing went, I had blurred vision, and I was hysterical and couldn’t stop crying,” Mia said.
She alleged there were multiple instances of violence against her during her time in his staff, when he would often throw objects at her or throw her against a wall. In one of those occasions, when the Wi-Fi wasn’t working in Combs’ trailer, she said she had met with technical staff to get it reconnected.
“He started screaming at me and said, ‘Don’t come back until you’ve worked it out. I don’t care if you have to call Bill Gates‘,” she recalled, adding he then threw a computer at her head which only just missed her.
She claimed that, while attending Burning Man one year, Combs also forced her to snort ketamine against her wishes. She first tried to fake it, but he went on to “humiliate” her and made sure she inhaled it when she tried to fake it.
“I didn’t think I had a choice,” Mia said.

As reported by Variety, in another shocking incident at Combs’ LA home in 2014, Combs demanded she go out and pick up food from IHOP for his encourage at 3 am. Mia, who was on her period, went to her room to change her tampon before leaving, which allegedly irked him and prompted a long rant about how she had to leave “immediately”.
Mia claimed she stood there with blood dripping down her leg, and Combs allegedly threw a bowl of spaghetti at her.
She said she “felt insane” with the amount of work she was expected to complete and that Combs, at one point, told her “I don’t know what you do all day”.
It prompted her to write a letter to his chief-of-staff detailing all the tasks she performed, including managing his social media, servicing his needs “from when he wakes up to when he falls asleep”, “anticipating his needs, whims and moods”, and generally being available 24/7 “unless otherwise directed”, per news.com.au.
Mia claimed she essentially took no annual leave and that there was little to no downtime even when she was theoretically off shift. In one incident when she was supposedly done for the day, she left his LA home because she was “desperate” to meet friends, but got in “big trouble”.
“Security called me to say he was sending them down to find me. I didn’t realise I wasn’t allowed to leave. I had to seek permission from Puff,” she told the jury.

Over the eight years working for Diddy, Mia struck up a friendship with his now ex-partner Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, who is a key witness in Combs’ trial where she testified to the violence and control she says she endured during their relationship.
In her testimony, Mia confirmed much of the violent abuse Ventura and others had suffered at Combs’ hands, claiming he flew into rages when Ventura didn’t pick up his phone and that this would sometimes result in his security team turning up.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, she described his punishments as “unpredictable and terrifying” when he was upset. She recounted an instance when she and Ventura snuck out to a party at Prince‘s Beverly Hills home, which led to a public attack on Ventura that had to be broken up by Prince’s security team, and led to Mia being suspended without pay from her job.
“I saw his bucket hat coming through the entrance,” she recalled of that night.
“We locked eyes and crap, Cass and I started running through the house to get out across the yard, trying to run and hide there. Puff caught Cass, he caught up to her and had her and threw her to the ground and started to attack her.”
In the federal criminal case being heard in New York, Combs is facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, two charges of sex trafficking and two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations against him.
