Fresh from spending billions flying to space and back, Lauren Sanchez is gearing up to get married to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
But no celebrity billionaire wedding is complete without a lavish bachelorette trip – this one being to Paris, and which will presumably cost more than most of us will earn in a decade.
Things are already in full swing, and Sanchez and her celebrity pals (including fellow “astronaut” Katy Perry) have already been spotted out and about on the streets of the French capital, flocking into and out of restaurants.
Here’s what we know so far.
The guestlist is stacked
The guestlist is truly something that has to be seen to be believed – fortunately, we have photos. On Friday, Sanchez and some of her pals were spotted entering L Avenue restaurant in Paris; today, they set off on a cruise along the river Seine.
Her guests include singer Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian (fresh from testifying against the criminals who tied her up and stole her jewellery some years ago), Kris Jenner and Eva Longoria, who arrived to the celebrations fresh from Cannes Film Festival.
There’s also October Gonzalez – the wife of Sanchez’s ex-husband, football player Tony, with whom she shares a son, Nikko. The pair are reportedly close friends, and have even been on holiday together.
Among the other guests are businesswoman Elsa Collins, Natasha Poonawalla, Lydia Kives, Charissa Thompson, and Veronica Smiley Grazer.
And because we live in an age of social media, Sanchez has already been documenting the weekend on Instagram. “Forever starts with friendship, surrounded by the women who’ve lifted me up, illuminated my path in dark times, and shaped my heart along the way,” she wrote alongside black and white photos of the festivities.
There’s a lot planned
According to the Daily Mail, there’s a whole weekend of celebrations planned, which kicked off with a luxury dinner at Lafayette’s.
“We recognised a lot of big names, including Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry,’ a server from the venue told the Mail afterwards. “They were all delightful, and a pleasure to have here.”
When’s the wedding?
It’s slated to take part next month, and because billionaires have deep pockets, what better way to celebrate than renting out a whole open-air theatre in Venice. Apparently, Bezos’ megayacht has also been rumoured to play a part in the ceremony somehow.
The couple have apparently booked Elton John and Lady Gaga to perform, while some of the best hotels in the city have been booked out by the 200-odd guests.
Which guests would those be? Why, several Kardashians, Katy Perry and fiance Orlando Bloom, Karlie Kloss, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ivanka Trump. Oh, and apparently Donald Trump has been invited too.
