Emmerdale viewers 'work out' Caleb Dingle's true identity as they spot telling comment

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they have worked out Caleb Dingle's identity after a telling exchange in tonight's show.

Fans of the ITV show have been concerned about the true motives of the character, played by Will Ash, since he arrived in the fictional Yorkshire village. Friday's episode continued to explore the fallout of Paddy Kirk's spiralling depression.

The character, played by Dominic Brunt, has been suffering since he discovered his wife, Chas, had an affair with Al Chapman. Paddy is currently missing after he spent the night with Mandy Dingle earlier this week.

The search party to try and locate him continued in the soap's final episode of this week. Caleb revealed he bumped into Paddy before his disappearance and warned him to get his act together as he tried to support Chas.

Chas blasted Caleb for his actions and said he could be responsible for Paddy's exit. Caleb provided a description of how Paddy was dressed to PC Swirling to try and help find him.

However, fans following the show on Twitter were suspicious by the official language he used and suggested he may have unknowingly revealed he is an undercover policeman.

McWhiskers tweeted: "Oh Caleb - your description of Paddy was very policeyfied then.... Are we sure you aren't an undercover cop?

Chris commented: "Caleb giving a very forensic account of how Paddy was dressed just how a policeman would if talking to his superiors."

Jo said: "I wonder if caleb is an undercover copper #emmerdale like spider in #corrie"
