Emmerdale fans figure out where Paddy Kirk is going as return uncertain

Emmerdale fans are trying to work out where Paddy Kirk is going after he went missing.

Paddy's storyline currently centres around his poor mental health following his marriage breakdown with Chas Dingle. After finding out she had cheated on him with Al Chapman, his mental well-being deteriorated.

After leaving home without telling anyone where he would go, worried friends and family launched a major search in a bid to find him. He eventually called his dad Bear Wolf but only to tell him that everyone needed to stop looking for him.

As he is about to board a bus, a salesman asks him why he was hiding. To which Paddy replied: "I'm not hiding, I'm escaping."

It is not clear where Paddy is going and whether he will return to the village anytime soon. Actor Dominic Brunt, who has been playing him for over 20 years, said he "wouldn't complain", if his time on Emmerdale came to an end.

Speculating what's next for Paddy, fans took to Twitter to share their theories and ask their most burning questions. @stevebethere tweeted: "Knowing Emmerdale Paddy will be in Australia by Monday ...watch this space."

@Trojanmaru wondered: "What exactly is Emmerdale's plan with Paddy? Why is he out there, wandering the streets like he has some kind of covert mission?

"Is he renting a new home? Does he have a job? Or is he just draining his bank account with Hotels and cafes, while he has a random sulk?"

@MickJohnPNEFC said: "Paddy has fucked off to Leeds....."

It comes after Emmerdale announced an episode featuring an all-male cast to further raise awareness of men's mental health issues.

For the first time in its fifty year history, Emmerdale will be airing an episode featuring an ensemble cast of only male actors to highlight men's mental health issues. In coming weeks Marlon Dingle, played by Mark Charnock, will set up a late night lock-in at the Emmerdale Woolpack, with one thing on the agenda: men talking to each other.

As ever, we'll continue to bring you the big Emmerdale news about what is happening in the village and away from it. You can visit our Emmerdale homepage to find the latest gossip about the soap and its stars.

Emmerdale airs weekdays from 7.30pm on ITV1.
