Emmerdale aired a surprise return for Kim Tate today.
Claire King has been missing from the ITV soap recently, with Kim even unable to attend Billy and Dawn's Valentine's Day wedding, which turned into disaster when evil Meena Jutla struck.
But Kim made a shock return to the show today to help Dawn Taylor out of her sticky situation, after her ex Alex bribed her into helping sell his drugs in return for allowing Billy Fletcher to adopt his and Dawn's son Lucas.
Keeping it all a secret from her dad Will Taylor and Billy, Kim rushed to help Dawn.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I didn't know who else to call," Dawn said, as Kim walked into the room and asked her what she thought her dad Will would say about it all if he found out, after she attempted to steal some money from the safe.
Dawn shared: "Kim please, you can't tell him. I had no choice. He needed the money and if there was any other way."
"Needed it for what? And rather than think of what I want to hear, maybe just try telling the truth," Kim asked as Dawn explained how complicated it was, "No, it's very simple. You start talking or I'll make a call."
Dawn then explained to Kim in detail about what happened with Alex.
"He wanted me to deliver drugs for him. So he owes his dealer money and his way of sorting it is by using me. If I don't do it, he'll stop Billy from adopting Lucas. So I just thought if I can get some money together, then he could pay them off and I wouldn't have to be involved, because I can't get involved," she explained to Kim.
"I was just trying to look out for my son. You of all people know what that's like. I just thought I could sort it on my own. I should have done things differently but that's pretty much my whole life."
Fans of the ITV soap were thrilled to see Kim back in the Dales again.
