Dundee 'bitterly disappointed' at two VAR mistakes after SFA panel review

Dundee have slammed VAR after being confirmed as the worst-hit club in Scotland in terms of bad decisions so far this season.

An independent SFA review panel have found three incidents were called wrong by video referees so far in this campaign.

The Dens Park team have had two incorrect decisions awarded against them, with Josh Mulligan's red card against Kilmarnock in September and Amadou Bakayoko's disallowed goal during their victory over Livingston last month being noted by the panel.

Bojan Miovski's double-hit penalty at the start of the season was the third decision the panel ruled as being incorrect.

And Dundee insist they are "bitterly disappointed" that the processes have not been implemented properly.

A statement read: "The club are glad that the information regarding VAR decisions this season has been released to the public, but the club is bitterly disappointed that two incorrect VAR decisions have gone against us in matches this season, which have had implications for the club.

"These decisions being Josh Mulligan’s red card against Kilmarnock and Amadou Bakayoko’s goal being disallowed against Livingston.

"The club were very disappointed that we were unsuccessful with the appeal for the red card shown to Josh Mulligan due to the inadequate information and evidence we were allowed to supply to the judicial panel for the appeal.

"This meant that Josh missed two matches due to suspension. The club won’t be making any further comment on VAR at the moment"
