'Drained' Russell Martin was a sorry sight to see on the touchline at Ibrox on Saturday.
That's the opinion of former Gers midfielder Kevin Thomson.
Saturday posed further questions of Martin's competence at the head coach of the Ibrox club following a 2-0 defeat to Hearts.
Thomson insists it was sad to see, with the toxicity around the stadium reaching fever pitch with chants of 'Martin, get to f***,' audible on several occasions.
"First and foremost, it's horrible to see," he told Premier Sports Scottish Football Social Club. "I feel really sorry for him and that's just the human touch that I have got.
"He's got a wonderful opportunity with the prestige of being the Rangers manager but I think he is starting to come across that he looks drained.

"(The game on Saturday) was the least animated and enthusiastic I have seen him on the touchline. I don't know if he is conscious of that or whether it was just how the game was going.
"Derek McInnes is quite fiery when there is wee scraps in the middle of the pitch, you can always see him sticking his chest out from the side.
"But I didn't see that on Saturday (from Martin). He went straight down the touchline after the game.
"Three quarters of the stadium was empty but there was quite a lot of fans being disrespectful to Kevin Thelwell and I am presuming Patrick Stewart was there as well. It was volatile, toxic and really sad to see."
