Worst Days To Shop at Nordstrom Rack
“When it comes to Nordstrom Rack, as with many other clearance stores, timing really is everything,” said Gary Gray, co-founder of CouponChief.
If you don’t know the right times to shop, many of the best items and popular sizes will likely be sold out, he said.
“Most stores restock during the week, so by the end of the weekend, shelves can be pretty picked over,” he said.
Therefore, it’s best to avoid weekends in general, especially Sundays, to score the best finds.
If you happen to find yourself in a Nordstrom Rack on the weekend, knowing where to look might allow you to still walk away with impressive finds. YouTuber Melissa Goodwin shared a video about shopping secrets to know for Nordstrom Rack bargain shoppers, noting that checking restock racks, the areas around mirrors, and longer racks of clothes in the categories you’re shopping in can hold hidden treasures.
“In stores like Nordstrom Rack, stuff often gets misplaced,” she said.

Best Days To Shop at Nordstrom Rack
Knowing when not to shop at Nordstrom Rack is important, but it’s just as helpful to know when to stop in for the best items.
“I recommend hitting Nordstrom Rack on Monday or Tuesday mornings, when the store is quieter and stocked,” Gray said. “This is your best chance of avoiding huge crowds and getting the best merchandise for the best price.”
If you’re hunting for flash sales, he said Thursday is also a solid option — but go earlier than usual and shop every day.
Once you’re in the store, you also need to know how to identify the best bargains.
“If the tag has a handwritten markdown on it, I think this is a really good sign it’s from the main Nordstrom store,” Goodwin said. “Oftentimes, if you see that, the tag has some handwriting that’s been marked down and even sometimes marked down again.”
She said nine times out of 10, the item will have come from a Nordstrom store.
