A beloved dog-friendly festival is returning to Cheshire for a weekend of paw-some fun.
DogFest 2023 will take place at Tatton Park on June 17 and 18. The two-day event will feature world-class displays from top canine athletes, workshops, activities, shopping stalls at the Dogs Trust Village, advice panels from experts and a ‘K9 Dog Diving’ pool.
Television presenter Michaela Strachan, Wilmslow Wild Dogs, UK Disc Dog champion Sandra Walsh, dog grooming expert Julie Harris, Cheshire Police Dogs, Channel 4’s Chloe Fuller, West Lancs Dog Display Team, and dog behaviourist Kassie Woods will be amongst the talent appearing across the weekend.

There will be a ball pit, hoopers, and the ever-popular hay bale race will make a welcome return. Water-friendly canines will also be able to take part in dog diving, in partnership with K9 Aqua Sports.
Pooches will also be able to take part in the Fun Dog Show, with a chance to win the title of ‘Best in Show’. Dogs Trust, a featured partner of the event, will be running a Dog School where owners can take part in 15-minute group training sessions to learn tips and new skills.
Louisa Ferrari, Events and Logistics Manager at Dogs Trust, said: “We’ll be running bitesize 15-minute training sessions to give owners the opportunity to practice exercises, such as loose lead walking, recall, settle, and helping dogs keep four paws on the floor.
“There will also be a behaviour training station that will allow owners to come and ask our training experts for advice about their dog. And if they have their dog with them, our coaches can offer some initial guidance there and then.”
The Dogs Trust Village will also feature information on dogs at the charity’s centres who are looking for their forever homes.
Shauna Stedman, Regional Supporter Relations Manager at Dogs Trust, added: “We can’t wait to welcome dog lovers and their canine companions to this fantastic event.
“This is the third year running that we’ve been the DogFest charity partner, and we always have a brilliant time meeting dogs and their owners.
“Our very own Dogs Trust Village will be at the event and is open to everyone to meet our dedicated team and take part in fun-filled games and activities like our enrichment garden to keep your pooch happy and entertained.
“We love to catch up with former Dogs Trust residents to find out how they’ve settled in their forever homes. Just head for the yellow Dogs Trust stand and come and say hello!”
Tickets for the weekend can be booked here. 15% from each ticket sold via the Dogs Trust website will go towards the charity.
