Broadcaster Davina McCall has announced she has received the "all clear" following her breast cancer diagnosis.
The 58-year-old television presenter shared the "good news" on her podcast, Making The Cut, which she co-hosts with her husband Michael Douglas.
Ms McCall had previously revealed her diagnosis last October, undergoing surgery to remove a "lump".
She said: “I went to go and have a check-up on my boobs the other day. Obviously, quite a serious day, quite heavy.”
McCall recounted the day of her appointment and said that earlier on she had put her payment card into a wallet that looks like a “big wand like a fairy would use”, which she was using during transactions.
She said: “I went to go and pay my bill, and I tapped my wand and literally people would be beside themselves. And I thought ‘this heavy day has become very joyful and funny’.
“I’ve not only put a smile on other people’s faces, but a smile on mine.
“By the way, it was all clear – just letting everyone know. Good news, good news.”
The former Big Brother host first revealed her diagnosis in a video on Instagram last November, during which she recounted finding a lump in her breast which “came and went”.
In the post, McCall revealed that she found out she had breast cancer in October and later underwent a lumpectomy to get it removed.
She told her 2.1 million followers that she also needed five days of radiotherapy in January “as kind of an insurance policy”, and after this she would be “on my journey to try and stop (the cancer) ever coming back”.
McCall also urged viewers to “get checked” for breast cancer as she spoke about how “incredibly lucky” she was to catch the condition “very, very early”.
The diagnosis came after McCall underwent surgery in 2024 to remove a benign brain tumour, known as a colloid cyst, which was found after she was offered a health check-up as part of her menopause advocacy work.
According to the NHS, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer for women in the UK, although anyone can get it, with those at higher risk including people over the age of 50, those with dense breast tissue or a family history of breast or ovarian cancer.
McCall is known for hosting Big Brother between 2000 and 2010 during its Channel 4 run and has long advocated on women’s health issues, including presenting documentaries on contraception and the menopause.
She has also co-presented BBC Comic Relief and Sport Relief, Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer, The Million Pound Drop, Long Lost Family and dating programme My Mum, Your Dad.
