Cracker Barrel closes all remaining sister brand locations

  • Cracker Barrel is divesting its Maple Street Biscuit Company brand, selling 35 locations to Biscuit Belly LLC and closing the remaining 16.
  • The strategic move aims to sharpen Cracker Barrel's focus on its core brand, improve profitability and help pay down company debt .
  • Maple Street Biscuit Company represented less than 2 percent of Cracker Barrel's annual revenue, having been acquired for $36 million in 2019.
  • Biscuit Belly plans to convert the acquired Maple Street locations into its own stores within 18 to 24 months, aiming to expand to over 60 locations by the end of 2028.
  • Cracker Barrel anticipates this divestiture, combined with a recent $77 million sale-leaseback deal for 26 of its own locations, will help it meet or exceed its fiscal year 2026 revenue forecast.
