Coronation Street favourite Fiz Stape set for heartbreaking exit after 21 years at Virgin Media soap

Coronation Street favourite Fiz Stape is set to leave the famous street for good after 21 years.

It's set to be a heartbreaking exit from the street for the actress, as she and lover Phill prepare to move house.

Viewers watched in Monday night's episode as Phill, played by Jamie Kenna, helped turn Maria's election campaign around by producing a confidential report proving that the council were covering up the dangers of local air pollution.

But after the pair are overheard, trouble is ahead for Phill, reports Mirror TV.

On Wednesday, Gary and Maria cast their votes at the polling station and the pair pose for photos.

But Maria feels terrible when Phill admits he might lose his job over the leaked report and that her brother Kirk has been sacked as Buzzer Bee.

Next week, Phill loses his job and tells Fiz that he can no longer afford the renovation on the house now that he has lost his job.

Fiz is left even more devastated when the estate agent says that the sinkhole is putting people off and that they need to lower the price.

Having expected Tyrone to be reluctant about dropping the price of the house, Fiz and Phill are shocked when the estate agent rings and reveals that he's lowered it on Tyrone's instruction.

Fiz decides to go and thank Tyrone and tells him that she and Phill will move into the new house sooner than expected and that they will start some of the jobs themselves.

Tyrone is upset to hear that Fiz and Phill will be leaving so soon.

But will they really be leaving Weatherfield for good?

Elsewhere, Abi's baby secret is set to be rumbled by Kevin when he discovers Alfie's birth certificate. Imran and Abi are left feeling incredibly guilty as Toyah reveals that she's postponed the search for a wedding venue as Abi's hearing is more important.

As they all arrive at the courtroom, the guilt mounts for the pair. While the local authority solicitor provides a big list of reasons why Abi would be an unfit mother and Alfie should be taken into care, Imran pleads Abi's case.

The lawyer does everything he can to convince the judge that Abi has changed, but will the verdict go in her favour?

Later, Toyah tells Imran that he's done everything he can for Abi and that it's now time to concentrate on Elsie's adoption hearing.

Imran struggles and Abi is furious, going on to ban him from seeing Alfie.

However, Imran insists that he'll do what it takes - including putting his name on the birth certificate.

He goes on to tell Toyah that he's set Abi up with a solicitor free of charge, but sneaks off with Abi to register Alfie's birth.

Toyah later bumps into Abi, who is acting shifty as she carries a package, which actually happens to be Alfie's paperwork.

Assuming that Abi is back on drugs, Toyah warns Kevin, leading him to hunt for the package as Abi makes tea.

Kevin discovers the birth certificate, which has Imran named as the father...

Elsewhere, Toyah and Imran sit down with the social worker to discuss adopting Elsie, but is Imran's world about to be destroyed?
