Convicted fraudster sets up GoFundMe for Union Jack dress girl's father

A CROWDFUNDER for a 12-year-old girl, who claimed she was unable to "celebrate her British identity at school" while wearing a Union Jack dress, has been set up by a convicted fraudster from Wales.

Courtney Wright, who attends Bilton School in Rugby, wore a Union Jack dress inspired by Spice Girl Geri Halliwell to a planned cultural celebration on Friday to school.

The school had since apologised, inviting Wright to come back in her dress and read a speech about why British culture was important to her.

Her father, Stuart Field, 47, has since appeared in newspaper and television interviews speaking about British culture, with Tommy Robinson asking his daughter to speak at an upcoming event in London, wearing the dress.

Now, Voice of Wales, a far-right media outlet run by Dan Morgan and Stan Robinson, has set up a GoFundMe page, raising more than £1600 with 136 donations at the time of writing.

The page, which creates articles, videos, livestreams, and social media output, was banned from YouTube in 2021 and has previously covered protests against asylum seeker hotels and drag shows.

In October 2023, Morgan was handed a suspended sentence for his role in a large-scale scam that stole millions from people who believed they were applying for compensation for mis-sold PPI.

A post from Voice of Wales on Twitter/X announcing the fundraiser states: "You can always rely on the Great British Public to support our own!"

The GoFundMe description states: "This young lady wore a union flag outfit to school to celebrate diversity day, however, she was excluded from the lesson, and her father had to come and collect her.

"We are raising funds so this proud young lady can treat herself to something nice. The father Stuart Field will be in full receipt of any funds raised."

A GoFundMe spokesperson said: "We are vetting this campaign and remain in control of the funds until it is clear they will go to the right place."
