Chidobe Awuzie, Tee Higgins top first Bengals injury report of Week 6

For better or worse, the first Cincinnati Bengals injury report of Week 6 headlines some of the usual names.

As announced by head coach Zac Taylor the day prior, cornerback Chidobe Awuzie and wide receiver Tee Higgins remain day-to-day at best.

The full Wednesday report:

  • LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (DNP)
  • CB Chidobe Awuzie (DNP)
  • LB Devin Harper (DNP)
  • WR Tee Higgins (LP)

With the way Taylor talked about the Higgins injury after the win over the Arizona Cardinals, it sounds like the team held him back in Week 5 out of precaution.

We’ll see if he and and Awuzie practice at all this week, but it seems like they could be available for the homestand against the Seattle Seahawks. But as always, it’s going to come down to how the next 72 hours or so go for both guys.

Notably, Harper was brought over on waivers because of the injury to Davis-Gaither, so they could be short at linebacker against the Seahawks.
