Channel 4's Late Night Lycett: Joe Lycett's new show start date, how it works and first guests

From calling out footballer David Beckham for supporting the Qatar world cup to not hiding his political opinions and even exposing Cardiff estate agents CPS Homes, Joe Lycett has exploded onto the comedy scene. Now he has his own new Channel 4 chat show called Late Night Lycett.

When does Late Night Lycett begin on Channel 4?

Joe's new chat show, Late Night Lycett, will begin on Channel 4 at 10pm on Friday, March 31. There will be five episodes in the series, each an hour long, and they will be aired on Fridays at 10pm on Channel 4.

How does Late Night Lycett work?

The programme will be broadcast live from Birmingham each week and each Friday a mix of Joe’s community of local legends, LGBTQ+ heroes and allies will join him alongside celebrities and big-name guests from the worlds of comedy, television, music and film.

As well as chatting with celebrity guests, Joe will be looking back and commenting on the events of the week. His guests will be involved in games and sketches and he even offers audience members the chance to win his own possessions.

Who are the first guests on Late Night Lycett?

There is an impressive line-up of celebrity guests for the first episode with actress and TV presenter Joanna Lumley, comedian Katherine Ryan and TV star Alison Hammond all appearing on the show. Alison, herself is also from Birmingham and has recently been announced as the new co-host of The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4.
