Anderlecht have told Celtic to increase their offer for Danish international Kasper Dolberg.
The Parkhead side are prepared to pay a sum in the region of £8million to land the 27-year-old as a replacement for Swansea target Adam Idah.
After initial talks, Celtic have yet to match Anderlecht’s asking price or the player’s personal terms.
Despite the financial blow of crashing out of Europe after a defeat to AEK Athens on Thursday night the Belgians are reluctant to let their biggest asset leave and would prefer to sell or loan Argentine striker Luis Vazquez instead.

Speaking earlier today Brendan Rodgers acknowledge the interest from Swansea in striker Idah, but warned that he would not be allowed to leave until a replacement was in the door.
"There's interest in Adam, but no one can leave here unless we get players in to replace. It's as simple as that. There's been negotiations and chat around it, but have to have players in here before can consider letting anyone go.”
