Swansea boss Russell Martin admits he is gutted to have missed on signing Celtic-bound Matt O'Riley.
Record Sport revealed Wednesday night how Ange Postecoglou and Parkhead signing chiefs had outmuscled a late attempt by West Brom to hijack the deal.
O'Riley has now been snapped arriving outside Celtic Park as he finalises the final details.
Martin, who managed the midfielder at MK Dons, had attempted to snap up the 21-year-old but has conceded defeat in the chase for his signature.

Speaking ahead of a Championship meeting with Preston on Saturday, former Rangers defender Martin said: "I love Matt. I congratulated him, it’s a fantastic move to a huge football club.
"I’m disappointed we don’t get the chance to work with him again but I'm delighted for him.
"It’s another player MK have done brilliantly out of financially. He’s got a fantastic move all because of the style of play. He saw the big picture and so did his agent at the time."
Swansea have also played a role in ending speculation around Hannes Wolf and a move to Celtic.

The Borussia Monchengladbach playmaker had been linked with a move to Parkhead but he has now penned a loan deal with the Championship side.
Following the deal, Martin said: "Financially it's not outside what we can do. He's someone else who has had to sacrifice money to be here.
"It's a place he wants to play football and that's the importance of having clarity of a style on the pitch."
Back in Glasgow, Carl Starfelt has admitted he hopes centre-back partner Cameron Carter-Vickers remains in Glasgow.
The American has made an instant impact while on loan from Tottenham.
When asked if he'd like to see Carter-Vickers sign permanently, Starfelt said: "He’s a very good player, an easy player to play with.
“I think we’re getting better and better all the time. We have a very good connection on the pitch, and also outside of the pitch we have good communication. So I think we’re doing good right now.
“Yeah (on the transfer), of course I like to play with him, I think he’s done very good at the club. The rest is not really up to me! So we will wait and see.”
