William Daniels, the actor known for playing Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World, wants to celebrate his 99th birthday by connecting with fans.
“Over the years, I’ve enjoyed connecting with fans and friends through Cameo and at events,” Daniels said in a video shared on his social media platforms ahead of his March 31 birthday.
“Thank you for keeping me young. Keep it up,” the actor continued before concluding in character as Feeny: “Class dismissed.”
The video, shared Monday, was captioned: “Hard to believe I’m turning 99 tomorrow! I’m so grateful that staying connected with my fans has been so fulfilling in my later years. While I’m taking a pause on long distance travel, I’m still available on Cameo!”
Daniels appeared at San Diego Rocket Con earlier this month and Pasadena Comic Con in January. He has been active on Cameo, a site that allows celebrities to send custom videos to their fans, since 2019. His personal video messages on Cameo start at $195 each.

He said to People about the platform: “I do hundreds of cameos every year, and that feels good. It allows me to perform, which demands a certain amount of energy and focus. I think that's good for me. I like being productive.”
The star, who lives in Los Angeles, told Today that he planned to celebrate his 99th birthday with his wife of 75 years, Bonnie Bartlett, as well as their two sons and their families.
He said his advice for a long and happy life is to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, keep a sharp mind and be grateful.

“I think the most important thing you should know is that I am very lucky,” he told NBC’s morning show. “I've been able to work and keep active and have a sense of purpose. I was on Boy Meets World until I was 73 years old!”
In addition to playing the beloved principal and teacher for all seven seasons of the nineties sitcom, Daniels is known for his Emmy-winning performance as Dr. Mark Craig on medical drama St. Elsewhere and for voicing KITT, the car driven by David Hasselhoff in the action show Knight Rider.
Before launching his TV career, Daniels starred as founding father John Adams in the original Broadway production of 1776, a musical about the events leading up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. He returned to the role for the 1972 film adaptation of the musical.
