BBC The Apprentice's Amy Anzel hits back at Lord Alan Sugar after firing

The latest candidate from The Apprentice has been fired - and they're not holding back.

The remaining candidates were sent off to North Wales for a task involving promoting tourism whereby the group was asked to plan an adventure-filled experience for holidaymakers and corporates.

They were tasked with creating a bespoke package, with one team going down the adrenaline route, topped off with a trip to the mines and some cheese tasting, while the other went for a calmer approach with a scenic train ride, spot of watercolor painting, and a Whisky tasting experience.

Once their jaunt to North Wales was over, it was back to the boardroom to face Lord Alan Sugar and discover which team had emerged victorious this week.

It was, however, Amy Anzel who caught the successful businessman's attention but not for good reason.

"You're avoiding the spotlight the way that Dracula avoids sunbathing," Lord Sugar told her as she once again didn't put herself forward to lead the team.

Lord Sugar then referenced how Amy had once lived in Los Angeles and asked her if she was a LA Dodger, a further dig at her failure to become project manager.

The 48-year-old beauty gadget entrepreneur was then brought back into the boardroom by project manager Kathryn Burn alongside her and Aaron Willis.

After each attempting to fight their case, for a moment it looked like Kathryn could be in danger after leading the team with little experience of the tourism industry.

But Lord Sugar told Amy: "You dodged the project management side of things, you've been here six weeks to show that you can do something, and you haven't shown me you can do something.

"And so it is with regret that you're fired. Thank you."

Amy wasn't shy after the episode aired on BBC One, soon taking to Twitter to have her say.

She posted two snaps of herself wearing an LA Dodgers baseball cap and jersey: "Don't worry @Lord_Sugar, this 48-year-old L.A Dodger is leaving with 100% of her 7-figure business @hollywoodbrowzr, already listed with major retailers @BootsUK @Argos_Online, @LookFantastic, @FeelUnique, @ASOS, @QVCUK as well as being listed in 159 countries…"

But prior to that, she argued she hadn't been given a fair chance as The Apprentice viewers agreed with Lord Sugar's decision.

"I mean, @Lord_Sugar told Nick he HAD to be PM in Week 3… surely I deserved the chance to be PM to prove myself before being fired? Seems unfair considering in the past 10 years a candidate has NEVER been fired for not putting themself up in Week 7 or 8 #TheApprentice."

Lord Sugar reiterated his decision, tweeting as the show on Thursday night ended: "I think if I came up with a task of the life and time of Amy Anzel she would still be sub team leader @bbcapprentice."

But Amy still wasn't done, replying: "I think if you’d given me the same chance you afforded Nick in Week 3, I would’ve proven myself too..How is being Sub Team Leader 4 out of 6 tasks dodging?! Being Vice President isn’t dodging being President! Ageism & Anti-Americanism are a fine thing @Lord_Sugar #TheApprentice."
