The World Cup performances of Alexis Mac Allister have seen a number of Premier League clubs strike up an interest in the Brighton star ahead of the January transfer window. The Seagulls are certainly not unfamiliar with big clubs coming after their players, with Leandro Trossard and Moises Caicedo also earmarked for eventual departures.
In 2022 it was Marc Cucurella who left for pastures new, joining Chelsea before being later followed by Graham Potter. Given his development in their careers, Trossard and Caicedo have also been linked with joining their former boss at Stamford Bridge.
With Caicedo as the midfielder catching all the headlines in the first stage of the season, Mac Allister mostly went under the radar, perhaps minus one particularly impressive performance against Leicester where the Argentine scored a brace in a 5-2 win.

But, following his role in Argentina winning the World Cup that no longer seems the case as interest has spiked massively with a number of clubs likely monitoring his situation.
Brighton CEO Paul Barber did provide an update on Mac Allister though revealing that the club "were working on a new contract for Alexis in the build-up to the World Cup."
He also added: "As we've always said, when players do well, when their profile increases, there's always going to be interest in them.
"And this will be no different, Alexis is no different, there was interest in him before the World Cup and I'm sure there will be more interest in him afterwards."
Concrete interest from Arsenal may be unlikely though as Edu and Mikel Arteta have likely already drawn up their January transfer window plans and MailOnline have now revealed the World Cup winner is not a 'priority' for the Gunners.
Mac Allister also has admirers at Tottenham and Atletico Madrid but they claim that Arsenal's current focus lies elsewhere, with Mac Allister not currently top of their list.
What this may indicate, though, is that the Gunners could push for a January deal involving Tielemans, despite football.london reporting in the summer that Arsenal were prepared to wait until the end of the season when the Belgian would be available on a free transfer, as he and Mac Allister have occupied very similar roles so far this season.
