Arsenal can save £53m on double Serie A swoop as Edu repeats Youri Tielemans transfer plan

Youri Tielemans may not be the only free agent Arsenal sign in the 2023 summer transfer window with a number of their other transfer targets out of contract at the end of the season. Marcus Thuram, Evan Ndicka and Marco Asensio will all see their deals expire at their current clubs with the potential for a pre-contract being agreed in January.

Despite the possibility of signing Tielemans in January to boost the Gunners' title chances, Arsenal are still prepared to wait until Tielemans’ current contract expires to secure the Belgian on a free transfer, as football.london reported in the summer.

Thuram, Asensio and Ndicka have all been linked with moves to north London with the latter said to have 'reached an agreement' for a transfer to Arsenal in the summer. Asensio and Thuram however, could be overlooked with Arsenal looking to add an attacking option to their squad in January, where a pre-contract agreement would see either Thuram or Asensio arrive ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk is Arsenal's priority for the winter window after months of claims from his current club and hints from the man himself. The Gunners saw a £55million plus add-ons rejected, but are set to return with an improved bid, football.london understands.

Despite Arsenal's focus seeming set on Mudryk in the short-term, it seems the Gunners are also pushing for more arrivals in the summer transfer window, with two free agents from Serie A tipped to arrive at London Colney if they allow their current contracts to expire.

Adrien Rabiot is facing an 'impossible' Juventus stay with Arsenal listed as favourites to sign him upon the expiration of his contract. The Frenchman, who is valued at £22million according to CIES Football Observatory, impressed at the World Cup and could be a valuable squad option in midfield for Mikel Arteta.

Inter defender Milan Skriniar has been linked with a London switch but initially only to Chelsea and Tottenham but Arsenal have now joined the transfer battle alongside Paris Saint-Germain. The £31milllion-rated Slovak is yet to decide on his future which has prompted both Arsenal and PSG to register an interest, with CalcioMercato claiming the Gunners could overtake PSG in the race for his signature
