Another GTA 6 delay looks much less likely as Take-Two has a "high degree of confidence" in Rockstar Games' November release

GTA 6 Vintage Vice City pack.

You can put aside your fears of another GTA 6 delay, for now – Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is very confident that Rockstar Games is going to hit its release date of November 19, 2026.

After having been delayed a handful of times already and not really pulling back the curtain at all, GTA 6's November release date has been called into question by fans basically ever since it was announced. Even a former Grand Theft Auto 5 developer said he wouldn't be shocked to see the Rockstar juggernaut move once again, but it's not something the developer's parent company is worried about.

In today's Take-Two financial call, chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick reiterated that the company expects to grab net bookings of $8-8.2 billion in its 2027 fiscal year, "which reflects both ongoing positive trends in our business and our high degree of confidence around the November 19 release of Grand Theft Auto 6."

The head of Rockstar Games' owner repeatedly mentions GTA 6's November launch throughout the rest of the call, too: "Looking ahead, fiscal 2027 is on track to be a milestone year for our company, led by the release of Grand Theft Auto 6." There you have it.

Of course, anything is possible in game development (and the world at large) so it's not entirely impossible for GTA 6 to be pushed back again, but all signs are pointing toward the mammoth open world making it in time for November.

GTA 6 pre-orders are already open, for instance, and An Extended Look at the game is debuting on Netflix later this month. One would think a studio wouldn't kick off a big marketing push three months before launch if another delay was looking likely, after all.

After claiming GTA 6 devs have crunch "built into" their contracts, union says "first meeting with Rockstar management" was "a step in the right direction."
