Ambrosia urgently recalls sweet treats over fears they 'may contain plastic'

Ambrosia has urgently recalled some of its sweet treats over fears they may contain ‘pieces of plastic’.

Several batches of the My Mini Pots were recalled by maker Premier Foods on Wednesday night, through a Food Standards Agency (FSA) notice.

The public health body said: “These products may contain pieces of plastic which present as a possible choking hazard and makes them unsafe to eat.

“Anyone who has purchased the product is advised not to eat it and retain the packaging and either return the product to the store, or contact Ambrosia directly for a full refund.

“No other Ambrosia products are affected. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”

The warning applies to My Mini Custard Pots in packs of 6 x 55g, with all best before dates between April 2024 and October 2024.

It also affects My Mini 30% Less Sugar Custard Pots and My Mini Rice Pots in the same pack sizes, with the same best before dates.

If you have bought any of these products, you should not eat them and, instead, return them to the store they were bought from for a full refund.
