Amanda Holden takes brutal swipe at her 'new face' from Jimmy Carr on the chin

Jimmy Carr didn't hold back as he made a brutal joke about Amanda Holden on BBC show I Can See Your Voice.

The controversial comedian, 50, joked that fellow judge Amanda had a "new face", and the radio presenter, 51, appeared not to mind, as she laughed along.

Amanda, who is known for her youthful looks and amazing outfits, is a judge along with Jimmy and This Morning presenter Alison Hammond on the mystery singer show, hosted by Paddy McGuinness.

The show sees the judges help members of the public eliminate the fake singers in a line-up, to scoop a cash prize.

One of the possible vocalists was named "No Scrubs", as she studied medicine.

Referencing this, Jimmy then said: "You know, No Scrubs. Would it be appropriate to take a moment to thank the doctors and nurses that have worked tirelessly over the last couple of years?"

The studio applauded, before Jimmy continued: "On Amanda's new face..."

Paddy couldn't contain her laughter, and Amanda seemed to see the funny side too, as she laughed along.

Playing the innocent, Jimmy then asked: "What?" before Alison jokingly rebuked him in a stern voice, saying "Jimmy!"

Amanda has in the past said that her friends and family have given her the nickname Mandy Button, in reference to the film character Benjamin Button, who ages in reverse.

Speaking Sunday Mirror's Notebook Magazine in 2021, the mum-of-two talked about her lifestyle.

She said: "I do look after myself, I run, I do yoga, I’m a vegetarian. But I do love a drink. I don’t deny myself anything. After lockdown and us all being denied our freedoms, I just think “don’t deny yourself now, just enjoy life.”

"Everything in moderation, but if you want a glass of wine or a doughnut, have one.

"Life is too short. I’m not one of those “all or nothing” people, I can’t live like that."

Amanda has credited her genes for her youthful looks.

“We’ve got big cheeks in our family and good jawlines,” she has said previously, “So I think as long as that’s all staying like that, I don’t mind.

Amanda has used Botox in the past but quit in 2012, and in 2014 denied having surgery or injections.

Earlier this month, Amanda completed the epic three peaks 24 hour challenge for charity.

She declared it was “the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life” when speaking to co-star Jamie Theakston from the 4,411 ft summit after climbing the highest mountains of Wales, England and Scotland to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise.

Speaking to her Heart Breakfast co-host Jamie Theakston on-air at the top of Ben Nevis Amanda said: "For the first time in my life I thought, I’m not going to do it, I’m not going to make it, I’m going to give up, but we kept going. It was just incredible! We did it!”
