Allison Mack is throwing her ‘Smallville’ costar under the bus

Allison Mack is implicating her Smallville co-stars even more this week. A new podcast with the CBC, Allison After NXIVM, tells the story of how Mack got wrapped up in a sex cult. During a recent appearance,  Mack claimed that Smallville star Kristin Kreuk introduced her to a that would alter the path of her life up in Vancouver.

There are seven episodes of this podcast. NXIVM’s leader Keith Raniere and co-founder Nancy Salzman are also alluded to in the story from Mack. “She was just like super excited about it, you know,” Mack said of Kreuk. “She had a coach and she was talking about a vanguard and a prefect, which were the names you called Keith and Nancy at the time.”

During this conversation, Mack argues that Kreuk was the biggest motivating force for her to get involved in NXIVM. Salzman would lead the course that set the Smallville star on this path. She told the hosts, “We were learning about what’s the purpose of mankind, and we were learning about how does that relate to gender differences and relationships.”

New details about the NXIVM sex cult

Actress Allison Mack exits the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York following a status conference, June 12, 2018 in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. Mack was charged in April with sex trafficking for her involvement with a self-help organization for women that forced members into sexual acts with their leader. Back in 2018, Mack was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, and forced labor conspiracy. This shocking development led to Raniere’s own sentencing to 120 years in prison for 7 different felonies. The Smallville star would plead guilty to charges alleging she played a key role in securing prospective victims for the cult leader. There was nothing short of a media firestorm at the time.

After all of these details came to light, the heat online intesified. A letter from the actress said that she would spend the rest of her life making amends for the harm she caused. In particular, Mack would single out “those harmed by the collateral damage of my destructive choices.” This new podcast from CBC and her involvement goes towards raising awareness of human trafficking and the dangers of cults. Here’s what else the Smallville star had to say for an apology in that letter.

“I am sorry to those of you that I brought into NXIVM. And, I am sorry I ever exposed you to the nefarious and emotionally abusive schemes of a twisted man,” Mack wrote. “I am sorry that I encouraged you to use your resources to participate in something that was ultimately so ugly. I do not take lightly the responsibility I have in the lives of those I love. And, I feel a heavy weight of guilt for having misused your trust, leading you down a negative path.”
