The LCK 2026 Season Opening is the first League of Legends esports event of the year in Korea, and it is a fun exhibition event, where every team is composed of players who play the same role, leading to interesting matchups for the fans.
This is the third year of this League competition, and the rules are simple. There are five captains, one from each role, and they followed a Draft system to get five players from the same role on their team. T1 is the only team with all five members represented, including three captains. HLE and Gen.G each have three players, with one captain apiece, bringing their totals to three. Every other team features two players, ensuring balanced representation across the field.
