Newcastle United new boy Alexander Isak is ready to make his debut after being granted his work permit in time for tonight's clash at Anfield. The Sweden international's paperwork was submitted to the Premier League before 12pm last Friday.
But the Home Office did not give him international clearance in time for Sunday's 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Now, after an anxious wait, Eddie Howe can name Isak on his team sheet for the clash with Jurgen Klopp's side on Merseyside.
It remains to be seen whether he is thrown in from the start or takes a place on the bench.
But Howe is delighted with the news he is finally free to pick his £58million man.
Isak completed his move from Real Sociedad last week and took Newcastle's spending above the £200million mark.
