Aimee Lou Wood has responded to speculation about a falling out with The White Lotus co-star Walton Goggins - and she’s not adding fuel to the fire.
Both actors were in attendance at the 2025 Met Gala but arrived separately as rumours of tension between the pair continue to swirl.
While Goggins, who donned Thom Browne for the occasion, walked the red carpet solo, Wood was accompanied by co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger, making her Met Gala debut in custom Priya Ahluwalia and Manolo Blahnik heels.
When Entertainment Tonight asked Wood whether she’d be making a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, where Goggins is set to host, she shut it down gently but warmly.
“I couldn’t say… but also I’m not, I’m not doing that,” she replied, before adding: “Yeah, it would be fun. I loved working with Walton.
“It was the best thing ever. He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. It’s the perfect thing for him to do. It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.”

Her comments came just days after a tense interview with The Times, in which Goggins was repeatedly asked whether he had fallen out with Wood.
“I’m not gonna have that conversation,” he told the journalist, with his publicist stepping in to move things along.
As the topic came up again, Goggins became visibly frustrated, responding: “There is no conversation to be had about that. Sharing politics on social media – it’s in a vacuum.”
When pushed one final time, he snapped: “What the f***! Come on, buddy. Wow.”
Speculation of a rift between the co-stars began months ago, when they appeared to stop promoting the show together and reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram - only to quietly re-follow one another after Goggins’ interview was published.
Despite the chatter, the atmosphere at the Met appeared light for Wood, who leaned on a friend to calm her nerves.

Speaking to Variety, Schwarzenegger revealed he asked Wood to team up for the night.
“I heard Aimee was coming and I texted her and I said, ‘Can we please go together? I’m so nervous,’” he said.
“And she was like, ‘I was going to text you the same thing!’ I went to her hotel and we showed up together. It takes the nerves out of it that you have a real friend to come with.”
This year’s Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, celebrated Black dandyism and style as both artistic expression and cultural identity.
The event fundraises for The Costume Institute and complements its spring 2025 exhibition of the same name.
