Trader Joe’s is known for releasing a steady stream of inventive snacks and seasonal products, but not all of them deserve a permanent spot in your cart. As part of its 17th Annual Customer Choice Awards, the retailer asked shoppers to vote for their favorite new items of the year — and according to their votes, these are the five worth trying.
Here are the new items TJ’s fans loved the most.

1. Protein Pancakes
- Price: $3.79 for a pack of 4
The wellness world seems to have gotten obsessed with protein intake over the past year, so it’s not too surprising that Trader Joe’s Protein Pancakes were such a hit with shoppers. The gluten-free microwaveable pancakes are made with cottage cheese, egg whites, eggs and oat flour, and flavored with sugar and vanilla extract. Each pancake contains 20 grams of protein.
