10 Quickest Internal-Combustion Supercars of 2025 (So Far)

EVs rewrote the rulebook for vehicle performance with the advantage of instant torque, but there are still plenty of automakers out there making their internal-combustion cars quicker than ever.

With the benefit of launch control and hybrid assistance, many supercars and hypercars are inching down to the 2.0-second mark. Brands like Bugatti and Koenigsegg have topped lists of fastest-accelerating cars for decades, but there are also a few newcomers to the game.

Czinger, Hennessey, and SSC are among the smaller manufacturers making a big impact in the hypercar space. Each brand offers a vehicle that produces over 1,000 horsepower and accelerates to 60 miles per hour at a breakneck pace.

Using the numbers automakers provide, let's take a look at which internal-combustion cars made the cut for 2025.

10. Aston Martin Valkyrie (Tie)

0-60 MPH: 2.5 Seconds

  • 1,160 Horsepower / 664 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 220 MPH

Aston Martin is committing to V-12 power for the launch of its Formula 1-inspired hypercar—the Valkyrie. Its Cosworth 6.5-liter V-12 combines with a small hybrid system for well over 1,000 horsepower, and the Valkyrie will get you to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds.

10. SSC Tuatara Striker (Tie)

0-60 MPH: 2.5 Seconds

  • 1,350 Horsepower / 984 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 295 MPH

The SSC Tuatara is one of the fastest cars on the planet thanks to a 5.9-liter V-8 that relies on a pair of turbochargers to give it some gusto. With no hybrid in sight, it joins the elite club of cars that can accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in as little as 2.5 seconds, a remarkable accomplishment when you consider the Tuatara is rear-wheel drive.

10. Koenigsegg CC850 (Tie)

0-60 MPH: 2.5 Seconds

  • 1,385 Horsepower / 1,020 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 280 MPH (est.)

The Koenigsegg CC850 is perhaps the most unique model on this list, a tribute to the brand’s first supercar. Its twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V-8 yields best results when running on E85, and it pairs with a trick gearbox that can either operate as a nine-speed automatic or as a six-speed manual transmission.

10. Hennessey Venom F5 (Tie)

0-60 MPH: 2.5 Seconds

  • 1,817 Horsepower / 1,193 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 310 MPH (est.)

Texan John Hennessey has been chasing hypercar performance for decades. Unlike the supercharged Vipers and pickup trucks that make up the majority of his offerings, the Hennessey Venom F5 is an original design that competes with the best of Europe.

6. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

0-60 MPH: 2.2 Seconds

  • 1,064 Horsepower / 828 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 233 MPH

When it comes to horsepower-per-dollar, the Corvette ZR1 blows the competition away. With a starting price of just over $200,000, it's sure to attract plenty of buyers who are encouraged by its uncapped production run. Oh, and its astonishing horsepower. But, it’s not the quickest Corvette here.

5. Ferrari F80

0-60 MPH: 2.1 Seconds

  • 1,184 Horsepower / 793 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 217 MPH

On the opposite end of the spectrum from the Corvette, Ferrari F80 production is very limited. It relies on a hybridized twin-turbo V-6 setup for rapid acceleration, which will be verified when deliveries commence in early 2026.

3. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X (Tie)

0-60 MPH: 2.0 Seconds

  • 1,250 Horsepower / 828 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 233 Miles Per Hour

Believe it or not, Chevrolet actually has two entrants on this list—but both of them are Corvettes. The new ZR1X races to 60 miles per hour in an estimated 2.0 seconds thanks to its twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V-8 engine with hybrid assist, which gives it a whopping 1,250 horsepower.

3. Bugatti Tourbillon (Tie)

0-60 MPH: 2.0 seconds

  • 1,775 Horsepower / 1,696 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 276 MPH

The Tourbillon is the latest ultra-luxury hypercar from the boutique French carmaker. This time, however, Bugatti is ditching turbochargers for a hybrid system that bolts to an 8.0-liter V-16. That’s only the beginning, as the Tourbillon is full of intricate details to justify the opulent price. If you have to ask how much a Tourbillon costs, chances are you can’t afford it.

1. Czinger 21C VMax (Tie)

0-60 MPH: 1.9 seconds

  • 1,350 Horsepower / 1,350 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 253 MPH

Czinger is perhaps the least well-known name on this list, but the hypercar firm California entered the market with a bang. The 21C VMax wears all sorts of 3D-printed components and features a tandem two-seat tandem layout. The combination of these two factors contributes to a weight figure of just over 3,300 pounds, resulting in one of the quickest road-legal cars in the world.

1. Koenigsegg Gemera (Tie)

0-60 MPH: 1.9 seconds

  • 2,300 Horsepower / 2,028 Pound-Feet
  • Top Speed: 248 MPH

As a four-seater, the Gemera is an enigma among Koenigseggs. The Gemera has a crazy hybrid setup based around the company’s familiar 5.0-liter twin-turbo V-8. It’s just about the quickest way to accelerate you and three of your closest friends.
