Referring to the SC order issued on September 6, 2023, the Ladakh administration, in a fresh order, said, “The symbol “Plough” is hereby reserved for the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Party for the ensuing elections to the 5th LAHDC-K.”

J&K Peoples Conference (JKPC) chairman Sajad Lone expressed disappointment over the submissions made by the Centre before the Supreme Court, which is hearing the petitions challenging Article 370.

The Centre has informed the Supreme Court that it is unable to give an “exact time” by which Statehood would be restored to Jammu and Kashmir. However, it added that the Union Territory status is a “temporary phenomenon”.

The School Education Department had placed Zaroor Ahmed Bhat, a senior lecturer of political science under suspension with immediate effect for violation of provisions of Jammu & Kashmir Civil Service Regulations, Jammu & Kashmir Government Employees Conduct Rules and J&K Leave Rules.

Telangana Congress released SC/ST Declaration with aim of providing better welfare measures.
