Ms Everard, 33, was raped and killed by serving Metropolitan police officer Wayne Couzens as she walked home in south London on March 3 last year.

Forces recorded the highest number of rapes and the second highest number of sexual offences in a 12-month period.

Sergeant Simon Kempton was found to have acted inappropriately by sharing details from the killer’s police interviews with colleagues.
