Anticipating fresh outbreak of violence the Manipur government has beefed up security measures in the trouble-prone districts of the valley

Special NIA court in Imphal grants bail to five armed miscreants arrested in a UAPA case by the Manipur Police while they were travelling in police camouflage and with sophisticated arms and ammunition.

The Supreme Court on September 21 adjourned for four weeks a plea moved by activist Jyoti Jagtap, arrested in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case, challenging a Bombay High Court order denying her bail.
