Sorensen feels the changes Aston Martin has made to the Vantage GT3 that was originally introduced in 2018 are so extensive that it effectively feels like a brand-new car and not a mid-cycle refresh.

The marque’s return to the pinnacle of sportscar racing with the Valkyrie Le Mans Hypercar announced in October and the development of an evolution version of its Vantage GT3 racer were key motivations for the Dane agreeing a new multi-year contract with Aston Martin Racing.

Instead, they intend to focus on recruiting the line-up for the team’s campaigns with the Valkyrie LMH in the World Endurance Championship and the IMSA SportsCar Championship starting in 2025 from their existing roster of drivers.
