LUCKNOW/MUZAFFARNAGAR: The Muslim student, who was slapped by his classmates following the orders of a school teacher in Muzaffarnagar, was taken to Meerut on Sunday for a medical checkup after he complained of being disturbed and not able to sleep last night.

As urban media descended on Khubbapur village of Muzaffarnagar, where a Muslim boy was slapped by his classmates at the instigation of his class teacher Tripta Tyagi, it became an opportunity for the children to complain about the corporal punishment they face in schools, irrespective of gender and age.
