Zidane vows to wow United

Zinedine Zidane has warned Manchester United that Real Madrid are ready to "lay on another spectacle" at Old Trafford on Wednesday when the sides meet in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

The French midfielder, who orchestrated Real's 3-1 victory in the first leg, said his side would take out on Sir Alex Ferguson's men the frustration felt after Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Barcelona.

"I expect to make up for the disappointment of not beating Barca and not scoring by getting a goal on Wednesday," Zidane said. "I'm quite certain our goals will start to flow again against Manchester.

"Barcelona came here and made it difficult for us by putting six or seven men behind the ball in a way United never do.

"That means we have dropped two points but we are still top of the league. All we will do now is rest, think about the United game and lay on another spectacle there."

Zidane appeared to elbow Barcelona's Carles Puyol and grab the face of Luis Enrique, whose goal was cancelled out by Ronaldo's. Barcelona riled the Liga leaders and were happy to offer United advice on how to play on Wednesday.

"It is a question of psychology when you play against Madrid," Marc Overmars said. "You have to fight to the last minute like we did. You need to play aggressively and close them down.

"If you look at the last 20 minutes of the first game, the chances United made and what we showed in the way we played Madrid, you can see that if United get a quick goal at Old Trafford then things could change.

"They need to take out Madrid's big players and not let them play. Figo, Zidane, Raul - you let them play and they always cause problems."

Raul, who played despite an ankle injury, is expected to turn out with Vicente del Bosque hoping to use the same 11 players who started against United in the first leg in Madrid.
