Zendaya has always been recognised as a style icon. She serves look after look each year at the Met Gala, and went above and beyond during the press tour for Challengers (I still think about those tennis ball heels once a week). Now, she’s stepping into the (co)designer seat, releasing her first shoe with Swiss running brand, On.
The actress signed on to become an On brand partner in June 2024, which was the beginning of a multi-year collaboration. While she’s always been the face of the brand’s campaigns, this is the first time Zendaya has been involved in the making of a product.
The ‘Cloudzone Moon’ is On’s latest running shoe, co-created by Zendaya and her longtime stylist, Law Roach. It’s a reimagined version of On’s Cloudzone sneaker, designed to blend both lifestyle and performance. The Cloudzone Moon keeps the perforated cushioned soles, but comes with a new mesh upper and additional forefoot padding.
The shoes also feature On’s CloudTec® cushioning in its midsole, which the brand says is for added comfort and flexibility.
Zendaya’s new shoe made its debut in her latest campaign with On, “Be Every You.” It featured a 30-second short film directed by filmmaker Bardia Zeinali, celebrating the complexity and layers of individual identity.
“This story felt personal — a reminder that we are all multifaceted beings, with so many brilliant pieces that ultimately make up who we are, make us whole,” Zendaya said in a statement. “To me, it’s about embracing every little bit of ourselves, and being present in every version of yourself.”
Law Roach styled the campaign, dressing Zendaya in four different outfits that dropped alongside the Cloudzone Moon sneakers. The clothing range includes a studio bodysuit, tracksuit set, and structured bomber.
