Zayn Malik announces huge Las Vegas residency as fans celebrate 'new era'

Zayn Malik has announced a residency in Las Vegas next year.

The former One Direction star will return to the stage after completing his first solo tour Stairway To The Sky earlier this year.

The 32-year-old will perform for seven nights at the Dolby Live at Park MGM in January 2026.

He will join the ranks of global megastars like Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Stevie Necks in gracing the stage of the venue since it opened in 2016.

Zayn’s Vegas shows will take place on January 20, 21, 24, 25, 28, 30, and 31.

The Pillowtalk singer announced the news on Instagram on Monday with a pink and red poster showcasing the dates.

Fans flooded the comments with their praise, with one writing: “So so excited for this new era!!”

Another added, “I’m so proud of you Z, big things are coming your way,” and a third posted: “You deserve all the best. Proud.”

Tickets for the residency go on pre-sale on September 24 at 12PM PT and general sale begins on September 26.

Fans must sign up to Malik’s VIP Key by Tuesday, September 23 at 10PM PT to gain pre-sale access.

Malik - who shares daughter Khai with his model ex Gigi Hadid - completed his Stairway To The Sky tour at the end of March.

The former boy band member performed songs from his album, Room Under the Stairs, which he wrote over the past six years.

Malik released it in May 2024 and it hit number three on the UK Albums Chart.

He postponed his North America dates - originally intended to run from October to December 2024 - to January 2025 following the death of his former bandmate Liam Payne.

Payne died aged 31 after falling from the third floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16.

Malik paid tribute to his friend during a concert in London in November 2024.

He wore a diamond necklace that belonged to his late One Direction bandmate and he was first seen sporting a week earlier at Payne’s funeral.

Acknowledging the lengthy gap in his concerts to the sold out crowd at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, he said: “Thank you for waiting, I know I took a while but we are here.”

He continued: “It f****g feels amazing to be here not going to lie. Thank you for waiting, I know I took a while but we are here so tonight I want you guys to have an amazing night, really enjoy yourself, sing along, scream.”

He closed out the show with a backdrop which read, “Liam Payne 1993-2024. Love you bro,” and a red heart.

Following Payne’s death, Malik wrote on Instagram that he “never got to thank” the singer for supporting him through some of the “most difficult” times in his life.

He also said: “I lost a brother when you left us and can’t explain to you what I’d give to just give you a hug one last time and say goodbye to you properly and tell you that I loved and respected you dearly. I will cherish all the memories I have with you in my heart forever.

“There is no words that justify or explain how I feel right now other than beyond devastated. I hope that wherever you are right now you are good and are at peace and you know how loved you are. Love you bro.”
