Zara Home's new design-led collaboration is its most vibrant, artsy collection to date – but these stunning pieces start from just $13

An image of a chair holding a maroon blanket with white, yellow, and black stripes, an image of a towel hanging on a clothes line, and an image of a lamp with a maroon shade.

'In our minds, colors talk and have a conversation,' Collagerie's co-founder Lucinda Chambers tells me, 'and that could be from quiet and intimate to loud chatter.' It's the attention to this 'chatter' among color that serves as a theme for 'A Common Thread', Collagerie's latest collaboration with Zara Home.

Contrary to the typical muted, minimalist sophistication of Zara Home's product range, this collection is brimming with vibrancy through color. 'We pushed the boundaries by using unexpected color combinations,' Lucinda shares, and it's apparent through the design of each product, like the tasteful ombre maroon tablecloth to the bold color-blocked bedspread.

Despite innate stylistic differences between Zara Home and Collagerie, the 'common thread' from which this collection draws its name is the collective appreciation for artistry. Both brands admire craftsmanship, creativity, and character – three details that are thoughtfully woven into the collection.

Sharing this appreciation for artistry, the brands entwined their strengths – Zara Home's edge for crisp, contemporary style and Collagerie's mastery of vibrant designs – to develop homewares that can stand beautifully when apart, but sing with style when together.

Also included in the collection are designs by multi-disciplinary artist Kavel Rafferty, who transformed her paintings into products for the collection. 'It was wonderful to involve Kavel, who brought her energy and love of color into the equation,' Lucinda says. Kavel designed series of tapestries for the collection, and they just might be Lucinda's favorite pieces. 'They are just so dynamic,' she remarks.

'A Common Thread' is a celebration of artistry, creativity, and the dynamic conversation that arises through the combination of color. It's a collection that simultaneously speaks volumes and whispers, an assemblage of products that are familiar and also inspiringly new.

This range might sound high-end, and look high-end, but prices start from just $13 and there are some really stunning pieces that will make a statement in your home and upgrade your hosting set up too. I would be quick, there's already a buzz around this collection, and I can imagine it's going to sell out fast.

'A Common Thread' might stray from Zara Home's traditional offering of subtle, minimalistic homewares, but it's a captivating and design-forward collection that could inspire even the most color-shy people to bring some of these bolder hues into their homes.
