Zan Vipotnik 'considered' by Celtic but Ange Postecoglou faces competition for Maribor star

Zan Vipotnik is being considered by Celtic for a summer transfer, according to a report.

The Maribor striker has impressed at club level this season netting 23 goals in all competitions and that has attracted interest from a host of clubs including Ange Postecoglou's Scottish champions report Football Scotland.

The Slovenian giants had a poor campaign despite the 21-year-old impressing with a third place finish in the league. The Hoops have been in the market for a third striker to add to the squad over the last 12 months but they've worked with Kyogo Furuhashi and Giorgos Giakoumakis before he was sold with Oh Hyeon-gyu his replacement.

Vipotnik has featured at international level for Slovenia and netted on his debut against Kazakhstan before following that up with an assist against San Marino. Dinamo Zagreb are one of the clubs believed to be keen on the striker but the same publication state Rangers are NOT in the market for the hitman.

His agent Sasa Zupan told Football Scotland:"Yes, there is interest from Celtic for a summer transfer but there a lot of clubs who want to sign Zan when the window opens."

The Hoops have one final game to play this season before heading into their summer break. A domestic Treble is in their grasp and they can get over the line at Hampden on Saturday.

They face Scottish Championship outfit Inverness in the Scottish Cup Final as they bid to complete a domestic clean sweep after League Cup and Scottish Premiership triumphs.
