Yuill and Kyle appoint new managing director

Debt recovery firm Yuill+Kyle has appointed Denise Loney as its new managing director to succeed Stephen Cowan as part of the groups 'strategic' plans.

The firm, which is part of the MacRoberts Group, has said Loney’s appointment is part of its ‘strategic plans’ to expand and develop its debt recovery practice throughout Scotland.

Cowan will remain as a consultant to help with the transition.

Loney has more than 30 years of experience as a solicitor specialising in providing legal services to lenders in debt recovery and litigation matters.

She is also a senior tutor at the University of Glasgow, teaching on the postgraduate Diploma in professional legal practice and a board member of the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission.

Neil Kennedy, managing partner at MacRoberts said: “We are committed to growing the Yuill+Kyle brand within the MacRoberts Group and I look forward to working closely with Denise, who is an expert in the sector, as we continue to invest in our people, technology, security and solutions as we all emerge from the effects of the pandemic”.

Denise Loney commented: “Joining a firm with the experience and reputation of Yuill+Kyle, backed by the wider commercial legal services of MacRoberts, is tremendously exciting and I look forward to driving the business forward and embracing new and innovative solutions to help our clients from all sectors, and all across the UK, with well managed and cost effective volume litigation and recoveries”.
