Your rare Disney VHS tapes could make you a fortune - here's why

If you were a big Disney fan back in the day, or still are, then your VHS tapes could now end up making you a fortune.

Limited edition copies of some Disney films on video are apparently fetching hundreds and even thousands online.

Auction sites eBay and Amazon have listings for the black diamond rare Disney videos - with some going for £7,000 for a collection by US sellers.

An edition of The Little Mermaid is on offer with a 'buy it now' price of £7,909 with the owner claiming its a unique first edition version with discontinued cover, Hull Live reports.

A UK seller is offer 10 black diamond tapes from almost £150.

Most valuable items online are Black Diamond tapes, which signal they were released between 1984 to 1993.

So if you have a cupboard full of videos, you could be in luck!
