Your pet dog can now get paid £100 a month to simply eat their food

A raw dog food company is on the search for three dogs to become 'canine critics' for its new range of products - and is willing to pay the right candidates £100 per month.

The cash comes on top of free food for the lucky pooches to sample and 'rate'.

The company is looking for dogs of various breeds and ages but says those with serious underlying health conditions should not apply.

However, dogs who suffer with regular flatulence, bad hair days, bad breath, large poops and laziness are encouraged to apply.

The brand ProDog Raw has launched its latest range of 80:10:10 raw meals, and hopes to gain invaluable customer insight and testimonials through the recruitment drive.

The dogs’ sole responsibility as critics will be to eat the raw food they are provided with, so their owners can observe their behaviour and health and note any changes.

Each Canine Critic will be paid £100 per month, as well as receive a full 30 days worth of raw meals in the post.

Owners can apply on behalf of their dog here.

The dog owners will need to fill out weekly feedback questionnaires, documenting their pet’s reaction to the new food, so it’s integral that the owner and dog have a close bond where the owner can read their pet’s behaviour.

The feedback will involve noting the dog’s general behaviour, temperament, energy levels as well as more physical factors, such as the quality of its coat and stool consistency.

The owners will also be encouraged to keep video diaries, where they film any notable differences in their dog’s behaviour.

Heidi Maskelyne, founder of ProDog Raw said, “We think our canine critics will help break down the main barrier that is stopping dog owners from making the leap to raw food, and that is the misconception that it is a hassle and not all it’s cracked up to be.

“As humans we’re obsessed with what we put in our bodies, and we adore our canine companions, so why wouldn’t we be just as obsessed with what they eat?
